Pilot 3:
Amplifying the Use of
AI Factories

AI Factories bring together supercomputing power, large datasets, and AI expertise to accelerate innovation across health, mobility, energy, and manufacturing. Yet despite their potential, most operate as standalone ecosystems – unable to easily share datasets, models, or services across borders due to fragmented compliance documentation and complex regulatory requirements. RegulAIze bridges this gap by introducing Compliance Cards as trusted digital passports, enabling AI Factories across Europe to collaborate seamlessly and lowering entry barriers for SMEs and startups.

Key barrier removed
Cross-border regulatory complexity for AI model exchange

Approach
Replicable blueprint for pan-European interoperability

Objectives

Deploy compliance cards to certify datasets, AI models, and services within the AIT and Athena Research Center AI Factory environments.

Demonstrate cross-factory interoperability by exchanging compliance-certified artefacts between Austrian and Greek AI Factories.

Validate compliance-by-design integration with EU AI Factory ecosystems and data spaces, including IDS and GAIA-X standards.

Enable SMEs and startups to onboard into AI Factories using lightweight compliance cards, meeting regulatory requirements without heavy administrative overhead

Provide a replicable blueprint for pan-European interoperability, ready to scale RegulAIze to other AI Factories across Member States.
